
Panagiotis Dimitrakopoulos
Panos Dimitrakopoulos is a graduate of the Department of Economics of the University of Athens and the owner of Paralos Events & Design, a company specializing in sports events, with a particular focus on sailing regattas, as well as other disciplines such as golf, and with proven expertise in automotive presentation events. He has an extensive career in journalism as a contributor to sailing magazines and, for the past twenty years, has served as Editor-in-Chief of SAILING WORLD (Greek edition).
Mr. Dimitrakopoulos has broad competitive experience in dinghy sailing, having raced in almost all classes since his early years in Optimist in 1973, during which he was also a member of the Hellenic National Team. His principal discipline was the Olympic Windsurfing class (Windglider & Division II). Following his Olympic-class sailing career, he turned his focus to offshore racing, where, as a crew member of the yacht Cool-X-Cool, he excelled in numerous regattas, including a first-place victory at the Aegean Rally.
For over fifteen years, he served as Manager and Communications Director to two-time Olympic windsurfing medalist Nikos Kaklamanakis. He currently holds the role of Event & Marketing Coordinator of the international offshore regatta AEGEAN 600, and Communications & Marketing Director of the historic Aegean Rally. He is also a long-standing collaborator of HORC, serving as Marketing Coordinator for the Posidonia Cup.
Since the inaugural edition of the Spirit of Sailing, Mr. Dimitrakopoulos and his company have been integral to the organizing team, serving as Event Coordinator—starting from the design of the event logos.
Roula Galani
Started sailing from an early age on sailboards and after on dinghies & offshore boats.
She is organizing regattas for dinghies and offshore boats in Greece and abroad and is responsible for the training of Race Committee members and athletes. She is also measurer for offshore boats
She is International Race Officer (International Sailing Federation) and she was acting as General Secretary and Treasurer in the Hellenic Offshore Committee of the Hellenic Sailing Federation for 13 years
She acts as Registrar of Races in the Hellenic Offshore Racing Club and she has undertaken the organisation and management of numerous local and International Regattas, including World, European Championships and Match Races.
Also is well experienced to organize international regattas for cruising boats in cooperation with Yachts companies and associations


Nikos Aleuromytis
Nikos Alevromytis was born in Athens. He graduated from the 3rd High School of Nea Smyrni and pursued studies in Business Administration at the University of the Aegean on the island of Chios. At the same university, he also completed his postgraduate degree in Design, Management, and Tourism Policy.
A professional photographer specializing in maritime and sailing photography, he has over 20 years of experience and has served as an official photographer in numerous sailing events, both in Olympic classes and offshore racing, in Greece and abroad.
For more than a decade, he has been one of the official photographers of the International 470 Class, while also being the official photographer of major regattas such as the Aegean Rally, the Aegean 600, the Posidonia Cup, the Spetses Classic Yacht Regatta, and many other prestigious sailing events.
His portfolio includes extensive coverage of European and World Championships, and he has taken part in two Olympic Games – Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 – as an official photographer for international sailing classes.
Guided by his passion for photography, sailing, and the sea, Nikos Alevromytis creates images that combine the thrill of competition, the elegance of yachts, and the beauty of the natural environment, capturing moments with his lens, where art meets sport.
George Giakoumidis
George Giakoumidis is an Electrical Engineer and an Account Manager at a major multinational company in the maritime business.
He has a long and successful career in sailing, both as a sailor and skipper on Offshore boats and as a member of the National Teams for Dinghy sailing (Optimist & Laser) from 1983 to 1992.
He then had a brilliant career as a coach, having obtained his Class C coaching license in 1996, leading his athletes to Panhellenic, World, and European wins and significant distinctions.
His multifaceted experience makes him a valuable member of the Race Committee, as he actively participates as a Race Officer and Mark Layer in international and national events (Olympics, World, European, and National championships).
Since 2021, he has been the President of the Ηellenic Association of Sailing Coaches and a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Sailing Federation.
